Survivor and Donnie Darko

I watched Survivor last night and it looked okay. Nothing really has me hooked yet. There are a plethora of girls that are 7’s and 8’s in this one. It seems like they are zeroing in on a target market. There is one black guy and everyone else on the show is white. I found that a little strange. No Asians? No Hispanics?

All of the guys are under 35 except one guy who is 40. Six of the nine women are under 35. the “old” lady on the show is 59. As luck would have it, it was her top that fell off during the first competition. Who wants to see that?

This is the 9th season of Survivor. I think they need to do something to change it up a little. The may sound contradictory to my last sentence, but they could start by not adding a twist every episode like last season. The last good twist I liked is when they told everyone they were going for a photo shoot before the show started and then proceeded to kick everyone off the boat in the clothes they had on (Armani suit and all).

Donnie Darko was a strange, yet good movie. I was hesitant to watch it, but found the storyline interesting. I’m still not done digesting the whole thing. Was the guy in the rabbit suit real? Was the rabbit from the future? Either way that’s another movie crossed off of my “Best Rated” list.
