R.I.P. – O.D.B and the 49ers
Friday night, Vanessa and I went out to dinner with our friends Ed and Tiffany. We met at the Cedar Creek Inn in Brea. Really nice restaurant. I was going to bring my laptop to show them pictures, but decided it might be a little tacky to spend a nice dinner looking at a laptop. When we arrived there was Ed with a new laptop/tablet to show us their pictures. I guess it wasn’t tacky after all. They had just returned for the worst wedding ever. The bride was upset because Ed’s mom (the bride’s new mother in-law) refused to serve the guests Frito Lay chips from a variety pack. The bride reeked of body odor for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. To top it off Ed’s mom bought dinner for 200 guests (the number the bride gave her) and only 65 people showed up. Ouch!
I was stuffed by the time we left. Looking back it makes sense. I had Calamari, Stuffed Portobello’s, Chateaubriand, and a Brownie Sundae for dessert. I was uncomfortably full for the rest of the night.
Saturday Vanessa and I ran some errands. We sorted out her passport issue (change of name), went to IHOP for breakfast (where I spotted a one-armed midget), stopped at to REI for some stuff for our Europe trip, went to Eddie Bauer to return some stuff and buy new clothes, went to William Sonoma to finish buying the rest of the items from the wedding registry, stopped at Henry’s Market for lunch, and got the oil changed on the Honda. We finished everything before 4 pm. My foot was swollen by then, so we relaxed for the rest of the day and watched movies.
Sunday I went to San Francisco with my dad. It was windy in Ontario, so the take-off was a little dicey. The 49ers kicked some ass the first half of the game, but played terribly the second half and ended-up losing the game. The 49ers are now tied with Miami for the worst record in the NFL. Sad.
Oh yeah... O.D.B. died. I will remember him every time my cell phone rings (Baby I got your money).
My favorite lyrics from ODB:
"god made dirt and dirt bust yo ass"
"If you wana look good and not be bummy, girl you better give me that money"
