Life at 30

I guess there was a conversation I missed while we were celebrating Steve’s birthday at the Yard House on Tuesday. Someone stated that your status at 30 is a good indicator of what the rest of your life will be like (work, relationships, financial). As I write this I’m not sure if I agree with this or not. Perhaps if momentum is included in the evaluation. Other than not completing my degree, I am pleased with where I am at 30 so this is fine with me. I think part of the reason I am happy is because I see continuous improvement in my relationship with Vanessa, our careers, and our financial situation. It my spelling and memory that continue to get worse!

On the other hand, there are many people who do not shine until later in life. It is not unusual for someone to go back to school and start a new career at 40. I think it was Vanessa who told me that many high school graduates are putting off college and getting a career for a couple of years, because life expectancy has increased.

Any thoughts?

  • look at it this way:

    turn 30, turn Nerdy

    or

    turn 30, turn Flirty

    or

    turn 30, turn Dirty

  • There seems to be two types of people (I took this from the movie Lawerence of Arabia) those that believe things are written and those that don't a.k.a people who think they can change destiny and other who think its set. If your destiny is written there is nothing for you to worry about because whatever your life will be it will be. If you think nothing is written then again don't worry because you will do something in the 60 years until you reach 90 and change it because you belive you can change. Its a long explanation but basically Page don't worry about it. One way or antother things work out, they generally do.
