Blog day one...

What is a blog?
A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger."

Creating a blog is something I have wanted to do since I first saw Mike Montez' blog (or was it Matt Hinojosa's). I always feel like I want to tell people about things going on, but never want to make the effort of calling friends. I'm also really bad about staying in communication with friends and family. Hopefully this will be a way to accomplish all of those things.

Today is very slow at work. It is the Friday before Memorial Day. Since the company I work for isn't affected by holidays (thank God I am away from foodservice) a lot of people took the day off. I'm not complaining. It's actually nice. Plus, I am taking the two weeks after Christmas off (Honeymoon #2). I scheduled a meeting for 2:00 today. Of the seven people I invited, three have the day off. This should be an easy meeting.

I don't have anything exciting planned for this weekend. I have a lot of small things I have to get done and I will be BBQing at the LA Equestrian Center on Monday.
