Do bearded dragons explode after being dead for a week?

Friday night Vanessa and I went to Lucille’s BBQ with some of her co-workers. I grabbed a 22 ounce beer from the bar while we were waiting for everyone to arrive and it made the teacher stories more digestible. If you haven’t been to a Lucille’s BBQ, make it a point to go. The tri-tip and St. Louis ribs are amazing.

Saturday I had a quick bite for breakfast and headed out to get some stuff done. I went to PETCO to grab some cat toys. Mr. Pickles has been bored and my hand has become his latest toy. He seemed genuinely happy with what I got him. I picked-up at bulb for the truck’s taillight. I don’t think it’s the right one, but I’ll figure that out later.

Saturday night I went out to dinner at Market City Caffe with Ryan, Raul, and Anne Marie. I would love to tell you everything, but I never know who will be reading this… Ryan told us that his roomate's bearded dragon died. the rommate put it in a box and wrapped it with plastic, but hasn't done anythig with it. I told Ryan if it sits there long enough it might explode. That's when Anne Marie decided to stop eating.

After dinner we stopped at Cold Stone. Ryan pulled out the Slam Book from 1997. It was a questionnaire for 20 of the people we hung out with at the time and it has about 20 questions ranging from favorite color, to sexual things you swore you would never do. It was funny to see what has changed in those 8 years and what people have done despite saying the opposite.

Afterward, Ryan and I saw Sideways. It’s about two guys that go to the Santa Barbara wine country for a week before getting married. Great movie. I love wine, so I found myself laughing at some of the inside jokes no one else was laughing at. I really enjoyed it and it was one of the few movies I would see again immediately. I’m a fan of Paul Giamatti. Favorite line from the movie: “This wine is tighter than a nun’s asshole” and “If anybody orders Merlot I am leaving. I am NOT DRINKING ANY MERLOT! I guess you have to see it to enjoy it.

Sunday I went to visit my Mom. I took her to a Japanese restaurant – Wabi Sabi in chino Hills. It is a lot like Benihana and it was fun to watch her reaction to the chefs doing their show. I’ve seen it so many times I had become indifferent. We both had a great time. Afterwards, I fixed some things at her house before heading home. Vanessa and I went out for sushi last night. I didn’t see her much this weekend, because she has been working on her mid-term for Fullerton and some other stuff for her class. We’re flying up to Washington next weekend so we’ll have a chance to relax and spend time together then.
