Keeping up with the Jones’
I finally gave into temptation yesterday and purchased a 3-room Direct TV satellite system with a Tivo built in. Yes, I already have a Tivo, but now I will have the capability of recording 3 different shows at once while watching something previously recorded on one and live TV on the other. It was a good deal. After rebates it will be $79.00, but I also receive a $50 gift card to Best Buy. Within the next month, I will get rid of Adelphia Cable and Internet Service. I will be switching to Yahoo DSL too if everything goes right, so expect a change in my email address soon.

Yes... but the Dish Network would end up being $59.00 a month for the comparitive package I get from Direct TV for $52.00 (Total Choice Basic Package, Local Channels, and HBO). That's $84.00 a year, plus the DVR wouldn't work with my Tivo. With Tivo I can move programs back and forth between the two boxes and set-up things to record from any computer. So there!!!

Dude, that is sweet. My only concern is the DSL. I hope yours is better than mine was. Our DSL sucked. Then we moved to cable, totally sweet. But that 3-room deal is sweetness.
