What did I do this summer???
Well I wasn't updating my blog, that's for sure! So what did I do? A lot of traveling. At the end of
June Vanessa and I went to visit my dad in Thailand. "Let me 'splain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up." (Princess Bride quote). It was great to see my dad and to see how he spends his day's now that he is retired. Not a bad life. Now I understand why he made the move. Thailand was paradise. Anything you can get here, you can get there. I took over 950 pictures. Everywhere I went was breathtaking, so I just kept snapping pictures. Now my office is filled with pics of Thailand.
After two long week of relaxing, snorkeling, and drinking Mai Tais it was time to come home and go back to work... For 4 days. Then we were off to Prescott, Arizona for 3 days for Kasie's birthday. Kasie and Ryan's mom has a gorgeous place out there with quite a bit of land, a stream we went wading in, horse stables, and a beautiful house.
We were home for two weeks before heading to Vegas or another tough weekend of drinking, black jack, and craps (the table game, not the other kind). We were so exhausted from Vegas we thought we deserved another vacation, so I worked for another 4 days and then we drove up to Cambria for our 2 year anniversary. Cambria is a nice little town on the coast about 10 minutes south of Hearst Castle. What did we do there? Relax. We walked around town, ate, played cards, and slept. It was great.
Sounds like a pretty good summer right? Well on August 20th at 5:45 in the morning my summer got even better. Vanessa came back into the bedroom from emptying her bladder to tell me she was pregnant! I'm so excited! We had planed on trying this summer and the timing turned out perfectly. We are expecting in late April 2007. I'll update as we get more information.
