Extra! Extra! Read all about it…
Tonight, Vanessa and I attended Matt and Michele’s wedding reception. It was a great event and very tastefully done. I was introduced to Broken Candy’s mom and she immediately recognized my name and related it to Page’s Pages. I’m a celebrity!!! While at the event there was an impromptu Blogger meeting. All of the big names were there. Broken Candy, NIMH, Right On Bro, Yakface Speaketh, and the late Mr. Hinojosa. We all complained that no one has been updating their Blogs in a long time, so I have decided to step-up.
Vanessa is now in her 7th month. I am very excited! Little Bean (that is the baby’s nickname for now), is very active and is constantly moving, kicking, and rolling. The good/bad thing is my touch seems to calm Bean down. Good because it gives Vanessa some relief, but bad, because I seldom get to feel Bean moving around. We still aren’t going to find out the sex of Bean. To me it’s like putting your Christmas present through an X-ray to figure out what you are getting before you open the present on Christmas morning.
Our new couch was delivered today. It is HUGE (that’s what she said). It’s about 14 ½ feet long (that’s what she said). I think it will sit 7, but I can’t get Vanessa to help me find out. I tried to get her to sit on one end, then I would sit next to her, then she would get up and sit on the other side of me, then I would get up… will you get the picture. It has a chaise lounge, a sleeper, and extra seat, a corner and a recliner. I love it!
Tomorrow, James is coming over to help me finish the next to last major thing I need to get done before the baby comes. We are moving some furniture from our place to my mom’s, then picking-up the nursery furniture and bringing it back here. The only other thing I need to do is paint. I already set-up an IP camera with infrared for the nursery. You will be able to check on the baby from anywhere in the world using the internet and will be able to see in the dark as well. Crazy. We can check on the baby from the bedroom, while I am at work, or my dad can check on the baby from Thailand. Pretty cool stuff.
Everyone is getting married! James and Reina, Mike and Caroline, Ryan and Jerome, and Angie and Tony. It’s crazy! Such a shift in the culture of the people I hang around. I think it’s a good change. The nice part is that everyone will still be a crazy as ever. I hope that will never change.
Lots of big events coming up. Vanessa’s birthday will be celebrated the first weekend in March with “Vanessa’s Amazing Race”. This is kind of ironic, since she doesn’t watch the show, but it will be really cool. Teams will go through challenges and have to drive to different locations. On April 1st we are having a Penetration Celebration. Some couples have a baby shower… we have a Penetration Celebration. I think it will be a lot like our rehearsal dinner, but with Mai Tai’s instead of margarita’s and Petron.
See you all again soon. Now update your blogs!!!
